Three in a bag, three in the bush… the Baby Bearders are gluttons for uniquely repetitive styles of punishment as they the prodigal sons return for more shit film talk! Turns out that if you say ‘one good thing’ three times in an Australian accent 2017’s bad film ‘The Mummy’ will appear in DVD form, and everyone involved must watch it or be laughed at as bad film boys for all time. If you can find at least one good thing about it, however, the curse reverses and The Mummy is plagued by the expectation that it was actually going to be a good film, ensuring a feeling of betrayal in every filmgoer for all time! Oh, delicious irony. Is that irony? You tell us. You tell us.

The Pauls have been sucking the life out of the podcast game for so long that the podcast world struck back: Oliver Urwin from the wicked sweet Video Negative podcast punished us from the skies. The gauntlet? We must not only watch James Nguyen's Birdemic: Shock and Terror but we must also find some good things about it. As in the classic OGT style. Then he LAUGHED, listeners. Long and hard. At our very own podcast. That is until he realised that he had agreed to come on said podcast to talk about a film of his choice. Tears were shed and hugs exchanged (keeping the requisite groin distance for professionals) but it makes little difference, dear OGTeam. Such is podcast law! What, demands you the public, were the good things about Birdemic: Shock and Terror?

This week a royal coupling has the Pauls in a tizzy; the republic dream is fading, they’re focusing on the negative, they’re certainly not mindful of our thoughts and, to be perfectly honest, if anyone is pleased to see them at this stage then something has gone horribly wrong. What’s more, because I can’t be bothered to finish this analogy I’m going to go ahead and make it clear that we’re talking about Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones without any further reference to real life events this previous week – those dresses tho.
Star Wars! One good thing!

Thanks to Paul's girlfriend Nell (who seceretly wanted to watch this however much she tells you different) the Pauls found themselves actively watching Sharknado: the 4th Awakens. So bad it's good? Or so good at bad that it's good? Or just plain three bags of crap because it did good bad? Before the similarities to the Pauls themselves get too loud and aggressive (much like said Pauls), it's probably best to let this one speak for itself. And what does it say? It says nado.

Basically, after seventy-plus hours of OGT, the Pauls have gone the way of Bonnie and Clyde, Sonny and Cher and Bono/Bono and bloody had it with each other. One Paul had a feeling this would happen, so about ten weeks ago asked the other Paul to watch five Adam Sandler films in one go. "For the podcast," he said, grubbing his hands like a fly perched on a peach, and left it at that. Turns out, unbeknownst to himself, that he was serious.
Seeing as they went ahead and watched five of Sandler's earliest films, they might as well think of something to say about them. Maybe try and find the one good thing? Old Sandler was good Sandler, right? ...right?

For such a sexy episode number the Pauls get down and dirty – that is to say, on their knees, in the mud, rooting around for meaning – and not just because they're failures in the eyes of their parents, friends and future employers. No, there's something more sinister than that. One of the Pauls has trapped the other in a supposedly metatextual podcast about podcasting, only when trapped Paul tries to question the other's intent he's met with hisses and jeers about "the whores down at the lake" until the first Paul falls into a sombre quiet. The captor swings that birdhouse around menacingly, daring him to feel again. Just give him one good god damn reason. Here's the one good thing about director of Apocalypse Now and the Godfather Francis Ford Coppola's Twixt!

Ohnoes! This week both Pauls shat up their magic boxes and decided that if they wanted any women to ever touch it again then they needed to do a right-old magic box makeover! They got Ty whatshisface from that American show where they build mansions for orphans and single dads, Taye Diggs, Mike Tyson (from Ip Man) and Tyson Fury* to pitch in with their various views and approaches to life –because after all, what is life if not a celebration of diversity and ruddy well being yourself? I know I'm all about those things!
A quick side note: some kids informed us that TY is text speak for "thank Yiannopoulos" and we should be more careful trying to appropriate youthspeak in all future viral marketing campaigns, and actually that technology is advancng at an alarming rate, even for two robust manful millennials like the Pauls, but rest assured folks, they're planning to back all of this up with watching the Emoji Movie, a film about doin' it starring Patrick Stewart and a boy who just can't lay off all the sweets. There should be something on all of this in there.
*Tyra Banks was "busy".
